Beef and Berries
An Afternoon of Foraging, Farming and Family-Style Harvest Food.

Join Albert, Jordan, and their three children on their beautiful riverside ranch for an unforgettable autumn afternoon celebrating the richness of the Fall harvest, regenerative agriculture, and the timeless connection between food and medicine. Designed with families in mind, this gathering welcomes guests of all ages to slow down, learn something new, and enjoy the bounty of the season together.

The day begins with out a guided tour of Castle Rock Ranch. Along the way, Albert and Jordan will share the story of transforming this land from conventional agriculture into thriving regenerative pasture. You will learn  what regenerative cattle ranching actually means, why it matters, and how healthy soil ultimately shapes the quality of the food we eat.

As elderberries reach their peak, we’ll continue with a hands-on foraging and elderberry workshop. You will learn how to identify, harvest, and process elderberries safely, along with practical ideas for incorporating them into seasonal cooking and home remedies. Dr. Casey Carr will share the medicinal history and health benefits of elderberries, while Jordan offers traditional and practical approaches from her own kitchen and homestead experience. Guests will leave with recipes, preparation ideas, and a deeper appreciation for one of Fall’s most beloved plants.

Following the workshop, gather around the table for a relaxed farmer-to-table lunch inspired by the theme “Beef & Berries.” Expect family-style plates that celebrate the ranch’s pasture-raised beef alongside the flavors of the harvest season. Seasonal offerings may include rich pâté with berry preserves, garden vegetables, warming herbs, and an elderberry-inspired dessert to finish the afternoon.
